Fortnite is a game that blew up in popularity so much and so fast that you’ve probably heard of it at least once. If you still haven’t played it, it’s time to download Fortnite for free and jump into the action!
The overall aesthetic of Fortnite benefits enormously from the art style that adds just enough color and refinement to realistic graphics to make them fun and appealing. Playing Fortnite feels like you’re in a visually enhanced version of the real world where all trees and bushes boast a saturated green color, and houses always look like they were built just yesterday.
Fortnite is definitely not the first Battle Royale game, but it is one of the most enjoyable and compelling ones. Even in the game’s early days there already was a lot to explore on the relatively large island, but now that every Fortnite update adds new and exciting features, there’s even more content to enjoy. You are already able to play with adorable pets, ride vehicles, and complete challenging additional tasks that are no longer based just on killing other players and finding loot boxes, and who knows what crazy new additions are coming in the future updates. Also, being able to quickly build structures that provide cover is an essential skill in Fortnite, and it takes a long time to master. The good news is that Fortnite is fun even if you’re bad at it, so you’re not going to lose motivation to practice any time soon.
The Fortnite PS4 version offers controls that are typical for console game controllers with some nice extra features such as vibration feedback. The moving and shooting controls are pretty straightforward, but building and managing your inventory might take some time to get used to.
Replay Value: 5
It’s no surprise that Fortnite gets the highest replay value score possible seeing as there are so many people addicted to the game. The initial joy of winning might wear off once you’ve had your first couple of wins, but for most players, there’s a long way to go until that. Besides, Fortnite is still fun and challenging even if you’re an experienced player who is not just enjoying occasional wins.
The Bottom Line
Fortnite is definitely one of the most popular games of 2018, and it seems like the trend continues in 2019. If you’re only trying it out now, there’s no need to feel like you’re late to the party because the learning curve is not so steep and you’ll be looting, shooting, and building confidently very soon. Achieving mastery will likely take more time and dedication, but the excitement and triumph you feel when you’re the last one standing are definitely worth the effort.
Download Fortnite if you think you have what it takes to be the last one standing!
